Evening primrose oil, however, has the highest amount of Omega-6 of any food substance. Evening primrose oil is extracted from the seeds of the evening primrose plant (oenothera biennis). It is a valuable source of Omega-6 essential fatty acid (gramma-linolenic acid GLA). The seeds of the evening primrose plant yield between 7% and 10% GLA.
